OUR JOURNEY The guiding principles that were instilled in us as children are the same values by which we grow and market Kissimmee River Mushrooms. These values of hard work, attention to detail and dedication all come together in a converted airplane hangar where my son, daughter-in-law, wife and I work as a team to grow and harvest our oyster mushrooms. Our mission is to develop a dependable source of gourmet quality mushrooms that are free from chemicals and pesticides. The only ingredient added to, or sprayed on our mushrooms is well water.
Having spent most of our business lives in the service sector, we are experiencing a sense of accomplishment by actually producing a quality product that brings culinary pleasure to the public. Not only are oyster mushrooms delicious and compliment many styles of cuisine, but they are also ranked high in health benefits.
